She’s fearless. She’s a flyer. And she’s just 12 years old.

Meet Hannah, from Pottsville. She’s an equestrian vaulter.
Vaulting is a unique and growing sport that combines gymnastics and dance on a moving horse.

Vaulting's origins can be traced back to Roman games, through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, and modern vaulting was developed in postwar Germany. Vaulting didn't make its way to the United States until the late 1950s.

Heather and Justin Berger, coaches and parents of four vaulters, started a non profit, High Flyers Vaulting, to build vaulting on the East Coast and bring awareness to the unique sport.

Hannah is joined by her brother Beau, 13, and sisters Sophia, 8, and Lilah, 6.

Hannah is currently training on the senior squad at Pacific Coast Vaulting for the World Equestrian Games in Sweden. With the global pandemic, it's now postponed to a later date, but Hannah is training as if it's still in July.

Hannah has seven virtual trainings a week, from the barrel to the horse.
