LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (WLVT) - With many families in desperate need of basic necessities, like diapers and infant care, supply at local nonprofits is running low.

“Our supply has started to go down because the orders Increased so much,” said Sapan Shah from the organization LV Solve. He said the need for diapers and infant care is always high, but it’s even higher because of the pandemic. Shah said there aren’t enough diapers coming in to the Lehigh Valley Diaper Bank to disperse to local nonprofits.

“There’s a lot more people in homeless shelters,” said Shah. “There’s a lot more people who are unemployed. People just don’t have access to diapers, so we’re seeing surges trickle up and it’s causing a problem.”

Right now, the organization is accepting all donations. Shah said they typically run out of larger sized diapers and pull-ups faster than the rest, so those would be helpful. LV Solve is also accepting monetary donations, and you can click here to visit their website.
