EMMAUS, Pa. (WLVT) - This morning at Emmaus High School (EHS), students were welcomed with a reminder that they matter.

EHS teachers handed out wristbands that state, 'You are Special, You are Loved, and Your Life Matters' to all students in an effort to promote suicide prevention awareness.

"Nationwide, I think there’s been issues with suicide and we want to make sure that these kids know that they have connections to school," said Amy Kaunitz, a social studies teacher at EHS.

The wristbands were funded by Bazzini Nuts, a community partner of the school.
