As the Department of Labor released new unemployment figures yesterday, everyone took a deep breath and held it. Another week of tremendous job losses, shooting unemployment claims up to 22 million total, in just one month. These losses appear to wipe out the gains made in the decade since the financial crash in 2008. And most experts expect it to continue.

Yahoo Finance has a graphic on which states reported the greatest increase from last week's unemployment numbers, below. The hardest hit see 5% losses.
