Join us at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9 for our program, Music of the Christmas City.
Just in time for the holidays! This screening is a showcase of the best choral music that Northampton County has to offer. The piece will feature segments from the Lehigh University Vespers concert in historic Packer Memorial Chapel. It will also feature the Moravian Choral Arts department performing selections from their Holiday Vespers. As a special treat, the Bach Choir of Bethlehem will present a few holiday favorites as excerpts from their 2020 holiday concert. After the show, stay tuned for a panel discussion with the people who have been crucial in the direction of choral arts in the Lehigh Valley for decades!
The discussion will be moderated by Lehigh Valley Public Media journalist Megan Frank and guests will include Greg Funfgeld, Artistic Director and Conductor for the Bach Choir of Bethlehem.
This program is being funded in part through the County of Northampton’s Hotel Tax Program.
This project is part of a series of five virtual screenings highlighting documentary films made about different aspects of Northampton County. Thank you to those who attended our past events!
