Finding Your Roots

Join us for our next Finding Your Roots event at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10.

Join us for an exclusive screening of highlights from season seven of Finding Your Roots, hosted by Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Following the screening, stay with us for a live Q&A moderated by WLVR News Director Jen Rehill. We will talk with Peabody Award winner and NPR legal correspondent Nina Totenberg, about her appearance on Finding Your Roots, politics and more. Joining Nina will be Legacy Tree genetic genealogist Adrienne Abiodun and Finding Your Roots showrunner/senior producer Sabin Streeter. Registration is free, RSVP below:

Before the event, we invite you to share an interview with a family member about a photo with an unexpected or treasured story unique to your family. Record a one to three minute video and share it with us! The deadline is February 1, 2021. The winner of the contest will be featured in our Finding Your Roots event on February 10, 2021 and the most intriguing entries will be shared on our site.
