Tapping Trees and Making Maple Syrup in the Delaware State Forest

You can tour the Monroe County Conservation District's sugarbush and learn about the maple sugaring process on Saturday, March 7th. Tours will be ongoing from 10am to 3pm. On the tour you will learn how to tap a tree, and how the Native American Indians discovered sap in Maple trees and passed it on to European settlers. The tour will end with pancakes topped with fresh maple syrup.
