Budihas promoted to VP of Operations

The Lehigh Valley Public Media Board of Directors announced today that Director of Human Resources Stephen Budihas will take on the role of Vice President of Operations effective immediately. He will continue to assume the responsibilities of Human Resources, Facilities, and Technology. 

In this expanded role of VP of Operations, he will:

- oversee all operational areas of the organization including decisions that ensure budgets are met 

- administer and manage all contractual obligations of the organization

- implement plans for organizational alignment

- lead management initiatives across departments

In addition, he has been selected to be LVPM’s representative for the National Educational Telecommunications Association Board of Directors. NETA is one of the nation's leading service organizations strengthening and amplifying public media's education mission. NETA is a 501(c)(3) membership organization providing leadership, support, and services to individual public media licensees, their affinity groups, and the public media system as a whole.

His career history includes more than 20 years at The Morning Call in various VP roles in Administration and Human Resources. He also spent 14 years in Operations and Human Resources at a business process outsourcing company and at a software-as-a-service company, the last three years as the COO running day-to-day operations.

A lifelong Lehigh Valley resident, Budihas holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Notre Dame. He joined LVPM in January 2024.
