Katelyn Rehatchek is a sophomore at Susquehanna University and an author. Her pen name is Kate Rowan, and Our Song is now available on Amazon. She says when the pandemic hit, she started writing 3,000 words a day.

“It was quite something to see, and I think it was something for her to focus on. Like a lot of people she lost everything, stuck in the house, nothing to do, no friends, separate from what she thought she’d be doing and she wanted to spin it into something positive, and she definitely did," said Katelyn's mom, Chrissy Rehatchek.

David Richards and his sister Natalia also used this time to create something new. They started their own charitable clothing line, called Kids of the Cross. The siblings are spreading their message with each sale.

“My sister, when we were in grade school, she made an anti bullying group called kids of the cross, and it was basically to give anyone that needed an outlet a chance to talk to others and confide in God, just to focus on something other than problems and to know that they were included in something. That’s another big part of our brand, and not as the name implies, it is not just for kids. It’s for all ages, genders, sexualities, ethnicities, races, because we believe that God sees everyone in their innocent childlike form, and that is what is so beautiful about our faith," says David.

You can buy Kids of the Cross clothing online or at Charles X Block's clothing store in Tamaqua.
