Join us on March 26 for Be My Neighbor Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the
Jewish Community Center of Allentown. 
Be My Neighbor Day is a day of encouraging kindness and caring with our neighbors and in our neighborhoods. 

You can experience Touch-a-Truck with a variety of Allentown city vehicles, run through the recycled fun course, dance with our DJs, and get your photo taken with Daniel Tiger! Engage your creativity and make a kindness rock - they’re perfect for giving to friends. And kids can meet Allentown’s Mayor Matt Tuerk and few of his friends to learn about their jobs and share your ideas to make our community even stronger.

ABOUT THE FOOD DRIVE

The 2023 food drive will support Second Harvest Food Bank. Bring a food or toiletry item to donate to the nonprofit, which helps fight food insecurity for neighbors throughout the Lehigh Valley. Highest need items include: 

• Dry pantry staples:
  • Canned beans
  • Canned meats (tuna, chicken)
  • Canned Soups
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Macaroni & Cheese Boxes
  • Cereal
• Personal Hygiene items:
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Body Wash
  • Dish Soap
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Feminine Hygiene products
  • Deodorant sticks
