BETHLEHEM, Pa. (WLVT) - Muhlenberg College, Lafayette College, Dickinson College, and Lehigh University will soon mitigate 100 percent of their emissions from electricity consumption.
"For the first time, we're going to be able to neutral out our electricity carbon footprint," said Kalyna Procyk, sustainability professor at Muhlenberg College.
The schools have committed to a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement. The schools will buy renewable energy generated by a solar farm in Texas to offset the non-renewable energy they consume in Pennsylvania. Click on the video player below to watch Chloe Nouvelle's full report.
