Difficult Decisions, Final Moments Gone

A new reality unexpectedly caused by a pandemic.

It's led to heartbreaking decisions for college administrators. Some of those decisions include shutting down campuses, asking students to return home and postponing graduation ceremonies.

Ricardo Hall, Vice President of Student Affairs at Lehigh University says, "It's surreal. It really is surreal."

President of Cedar Crest College, Elizabeth Meade says she's making unimaginably difficult decisions but it's always guided for the safety and well being of her students.

"When you think about the impact that has on the students who have spent four years on campus and for our seniors to lose the final few months of that college experience, it's just hard to fathom," says Matthew Santos, Vice President of University Relations at Kutztown University.

For Lehigh University senior, Isabela Madrigal, she says it's been overwhelming. "You don't get all of your last moments and you realize that you've already had them and you didn't even know that they were your last moments when they were happening."
