The Uncertain Future of College Athletics

It's hard to imagine March without the madness or Saturdays without game day, but the pandemic has forced universities and athletes around the country to wonder what's next. Gary Grey, Athletic Director at East Stroudsburg University says they are planning for fall sports to start on schedule, but it's not all their planning for. "We're also making plans what if they start a little late. A week, 2 weeks, one month whatever what will that do to schedules. We're looking at what if we have no sports in the fall, we have to move everything to spring which really tighten things up as far as facility and travel."

Whether they start on time or not, it won't make up for the lost time. Mason Black, is a pitcher at Lehigh University, and Co-Captain of the On Campus Student Athlete Council. "We would meet every week when we were at school and it would just be great group discussions, we'd ask questions, bring in people from across campus as I mentioned. Then it all just shifted our entire group was based on people being on campus and able to meet people. So when all that changed it was quite the shock it was like what are we going to do now."
