WLVT - TV - As coronavirus cases in the Lehigh Valley rise, homeless shelters are closing. However, the Allentown Rescue Mission is continuing to house the homeless and have instituted major policy changes to keep residents safe.

"We want to stay open through this one," said Skip Smith, CEO of the Allentown Rescue Mission.

So Smith's team is changing the way they do things. They've instituted new cleaning processes and separated most of their staff from residents. Even daily temperature checks are now standard practice.
