In celebration of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace on Wednesday, September 21, PBS39 will host a ceremony to re-dedicate its Peace Pole, located at the PPL Public Media Center at PBS39.
The ceremony, a celebration of peace and unity in the Greater Lehigh Valley and around the world, will feature remarks from local dignitaries, choral performances from Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) students, and an international flag presentation by students from Charter Arts, Donegan Elementary School, and Lehigh University.
“It is part of PBS39’s mission to have a harmonizing impact on our community,” said Tim Fallon, PBS39 CEO. “The re-dedication of our Peace Pole is a perfectly unique way to unify individuals and organizations from our region, while participating in a movement that spans the world over.”
