Season 43 of Scholastic Scrimmage Kicks Off Tues., Nov. 8

Last Updated by Gerard Longo on

With the new academic year in full swing, some of our region’s best and brightest high school students will once again have the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test during the 43rd season of PBS39’s long-running academic quiz show, Scholastic Scrimmage.

Scholastic Scrimmage, PBS39’s longest-running on-air program, pits teams of four high school students against each other and quizzes them in all academic disciplines. This season of Scholastic Scrimmage will feature teams from 31 area high schools and will be hosted once again by Dr. Karen Walton, Provost, DeSales University.

Scholastic Scrimmage teams will compete throughout the school year in an elimination-style tournament on PBS39 until the final round, after which PBS39 will award the winning team $4,000 for its scholarship fund, with $2,000 going to the runner-up.

The action kicks off on PBS39 Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m. when Bethlehem Catholic High School takes on Pen Argyl. For a full schedule and more information, please visit this link.
