Positive Vibes at #Bethlehem275
Last Updated by
As though we didn’t already know this, PBS39 resides in an incredible community. That notion was solidified even further on Saturday during Bethlehem’s 275th Anniversary Community Celebration at SteelStacks.
In just a few short hours, we enjoyed so many great memories that will stay with us for a long time. In the morning, we premiered Second to None: Liberty High School Grenadier Band to the public at Levitt Pavilion, which received a standing ovation from the thousands in attendance.
Later on, our own Brittany Garzillo was joined in-studio by actor and producer Daniel Roebuck, who answered audience questions and previewed his upcoming film, Getting Grace.
Finally, we hosted Bethlehem mayors past and present, alongside other key members of the Bethlehem community, for an All About Bethlehem edition of our long-running academic quiz program, Scholastic Scrimmage. Equal parts humorous and informative, this special edition of Scrimmage was hosted by FOCUS reporter Grover Silcox, who presented a highly enjoyable program. If you missed it, you’ll be able to see it on PBS39 this July.
Through it all, there was a sense of pride permeating throughout the PPL Public Media Center at PBS39 and the SteelStacks campus as a whole. Pride in the city which we call home, and in our ability to make it just a little bit brighter.
