PPL, PBS39 Congratulate Empowering Educators Teams
On Thursday, PPL Corporation and PBS39 honored six teams of students and their teachers from across the Valley to conclude our first-ever Empowering Educators program. The program, sponsored by PPL, provided each team with $1,000 to be used toward a project that would make a positive impact on its community.
These bright students, all in grades 6-8, used STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills to complete projects that will leave a lasting impression on their school districts and communities at large. Each team in attendance at Thursday’s award ceremony worked tirelessly throughout the school year to bring these ideas to life, while showing the ability and desire to make a difference. This experience has made each community a better place, and will serve these students well throughout their education and careers.
The six schools and their projects are listed below. Congratulations are in order to all for a job well done!
