PBS39 Adds 'Comfort' to Salvation Army Cottages
On Thursday, Sept. 10, PBS39 employees volunteered their time and talents with The Salvation Army Children’s Services for United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s Day of Caring.
Folks from PBS39 teamed up with Aetna employees to paint and decorate a Salvation Army Comfort Cottage, which will serve as a welcoming, family-friendly meeting place for foster children and their families as they work toward reunification.
It was a fun and rewarding day for all involved. We had the opportunity to use our creativity in a unique and interesting way to benefit the community, and we spent the day with people from the Lehigh Valley who share a like-minded interest in improving the world around us.
There are plenty of photos from our experience on the Salvation Army Children’s Services Facebook page. Check it out! And, if you find yourself inspired to make a similar difference in the community, visit the organization’s website and learn how you can help.
