Immigration a Topic on Tonight's 'Lafayette Lens' Special
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 17 percent of the U.S. population is now Latino. In the Lehigh Valley, this figure is one in five. In the past decade, the Latino population residing in the Lehigh Valley has surged.
PBS39 has partnered with Lafayette College for an international exploration of immigration in a new edition of Lafayette Lens. Students travel to Guatemala to understand why people leave, how they get here and how it affects the people left behind.
