Grover Silcox

Grover Silcox has spent his entire life calling Eastern Pennsylvania home.  He and his wife, Peg, raised their three children, James, Kim and Maria, in Montgomery County. 

For over ten years, he served as roving feature reporter for WTXF FOX 29’s “Good day Philadelphia” from the program’s launch in 1996 to just prior to joining “Tempo” on PBS 39.

As Good Day’s feature reporter, he produced compelling stories about the extraordinary ordinary and the outright extraordinary people, places and things of interest to the program’s viewers.

A three-time Emmy Award winner, he also wrote and produced numerous TV comedy specials for NBC, CBS and various cable networks, including HBO.   He also worked in radio, as writer and on-air humorist for 93.3 WMMR and 102.9 WMGK in the Philly market.

In addition to his media career, he performed stand-up comedy and motivational presentations for corporate clients, including: Cigna, AT&T, Campbell Soup, Sanofi, Pfizer, Bell Atlantic, Johnson & Johnson, and other major firms throughout the U.S.  
As a literature and history buff, Grover loves biographies and historical books on the U.S. Presidents, The American Revolution and the American Civil War.  He also is a member of the Pickwick Club, a benevolent organization dedicated to the literary works of Charles Dickens. 

Grover graduated from Temple University with a degree in Communications.
