Sam Torrence began his career with General Motors Corporation. He later served as Vice President of Human Resources and Total Quality Management for Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. He later joined Mack Trucks, where he became Executive Vice President of Administration and Parts Operations. In 2002, he began his career with Just Born, Inc. as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was promoted to President and COO in 2005.

In July, Mr. Torrence retired from Just Born. He is currently an adjunct professor at Muhlenberg College and the Executive-in-Residence for the Business School at DeSales University. He generously shares his time and talents in the community in many capacities. He currently serves on the board of directors of Arts Quest, co-chairs the Leadership Development Committee of SteelStax. His past volunteer leadership roles have involved the Red Cross, The United Way, Habitat for Humanity and Day Break.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Administration from the General Motors Institute (Kettering University) and a Juris Doctor degree from Akron University.
